Watercolor Painting is a very satisfying medium, allowing me to express the fascination I have for botanical imagery. The detail and complexity of each plant, leaf and flower in nature appeals to my sense of wonder, while presenting the challenges of the use of light, color, design and pattern in creating an appealing final composition.

My paintings all reflect the detail, essence and rhythm of the subject, with all the depth, dimension, variety and vibrancy that I see in nature.

My passion for painting goes back to early childhood when I first started with colored pencils, despite the many obstacles in my path. With a little planning, patience and dedication, watercolor painting has rewarded me with the perfect avenue for my creative expression.
